There are constantly new things “on trend” especially during season changes. I will be showing you my tips and tricks to get the trendy item for less and how I do trend items. Trends change a lot so for me personally spending $50+ on something that might only last a few months/years is out of my budget. I’m not saying all these I’m going to throw out next year. I actually really love these trendy pieces and will hold on for a few years.

I have the Time And Tru Peplum Top*. I got an xl but could’ve gotten a large also. You can dress this up or down! I haven’t worn it, but plan to soon the weather has been crazy. This is only $13.44. While this is trendy I do think it will be around for awhile. You can never go wrong with a thermal top. I have seen some that look very similar near $40.

This is the sherpa* (sized up to a xxl) from last year, but this year’s is nearly identical. For $20 you can’t beat that. It’s so cozy and warm and even has pockets! I went with cream so it would go with everything. I love wearing a long tee underneath and some leggings and uggs.

I’ve wanted a green utility coat* for such a long time! I scored this for $32 on sale a few weeks ago when Universal Threads had a 20% off. It’s $39.99. I love wearing these as a coat or styling it as a jacket. This is a bit more pricey but I know this won’t go out of style. So I suggest keeping your eyes out for a sale. This screams fall. I will be paring it with black and white stripes and graphic tees.

Leopard is everywhere right now and I’m not complaining. Walmart came back with my favorite style thermal v necks* for $8.88. I got a 3xl because these run about 2 sizes small and I wanted it longer to wear with leggings. Dress it up and pair with black pants and statement earrings or wear it casual with jeans and tennies.

These striped cozy sweaters* are on a major trend. They come in several different color options also. Sherpa vests* are also a big trend for fall. It’s so soft and pairs perfectly with the sweater. I got an xl vest and xxl sweater for length. They are both so cozy! The sherpa is $10 and the sweater is $11.44.

Color block clothing is a big trend this year. There were some designer one’s retailing for around $80. I found this* at Target for just under $30. Unfortunately this cardigan is out of stock in a lot of Target’s but it also comes in solid colors.

Ponchos are back and I’m not mad about it. I thought I was grabbing a longer poncho that I saw on Instagram and after I paid I noticed the turtle neck. When I tried it on I really liked it! Target has great options! This * will be perfect for the holidays. Stick a solid or striped long sleeve underneath, black pants and some camel booties or tall boots. This is $27.99.

Stripes are a big trend and I got this shirt* (xxl) for only $8.67. This will go with so many things. This rust color is also really on trend. The jeggings* (xl) are just under $13 and come in so many colors. I will style this with vests and under jackets, just like the sherpa vest and green coat.

Let’s talk about hair trends. Headbands* and pony scarves, and scrunchies, oh my! These headbands come in a 8 different colors for only $9.49! I love this pony scarf because mustard is so popular this year! I also love the neckerchief because you can wear it as a headband or a scarf. I picked up these awesome fall scrunchies at Walmart! I love styling these I either do it to match or take a color in my outfit that isn’t standing out and focus on finding an accessory to that color. (scrunchies aren’t on the website yet)

These shoes are all on trend! The little booties* I got at Target a few years ago so here is similar pair*. I love these rose gold sneakers also. I got my leopard print in shoes again. Wedge sneakers are really in trend! I got these on clearance for $5 check your local Walmart (website is $20) for the wedges and the rose gold sneakers as well. (the rose gold isn’t online anymore but I found similar ones*)

Initial Necklaces are everywhere right now, with that being said it’s a very big price range. I’ve seen these for $50. I paid like $4.99 for this. I got it at Walmart (the brand is No Boundaries) during the summer. If your Walmart has them they will likely be on clearance. I think this trend will stick around as well. You can get your first name initial like I did, or you can get your child’s first initial, your last name, etc.
My goal of this was to help you find affordable trendy finds. Let me know which trend is your favorite or what do you have your eyes on?
xoxo,
Abby
